Our Hope

God's timing amazes me. Yesterday, as I mentioned, I happened upon Bro. Wayne Francis' blog and was inspired. First, I began to compose the blog entry that I posted yesterday regarding a Biblical approach to life's struggle and hardship. In the middle of my post, I stopped writing, and began to compose a song. The inspiration for the song was based upon what I had read from Bro. Francis, my own life experience, and what I had presently been blogging about myself. Before I had finished editing the song, which was about a 30 minute endeavor (It's a lovely thing, being struck by inspiration), I received a phone call stating that my best friend, who is a United States Marine, drove over an explosive which detonated directly beneath where he was seated in the vehicle! The call we received told us only that he was alive, stable, and that his injuries were very serious, though not life threatening! How present our help truly is in time of need! Unknowingly, God was preparing me for this hardship! In regards to my friend, he is in stable condition but needs your prayers. He is in a hospital in Germany, and will be flown to the U.S. later this week. At any rate, here is the song the Lord gave to me. Hopefully it will bless you as much as it has me! Remember, I wrote this song prior to receiving the call. Thanks Lord, I needed that!

Vs1

Lord we bring this offering
To lay it all down before You
We raise our fears and doubts, to You

Earthly things crumble and fade
Only You remain the same
We put our faith and trust in You

Pre-Chorus

We lift our eyes unto the skies
Our Hope, our help is in You

Chorus

As we raise You up
Lord we lay it down
Though the storm winds blow
You bring peace and calm
To the weary heart
To the desperate soul
Lord we raise You up
Yes, we lay it down
We lift our eyes to the skies

Bridge

Only we can bring this heartfelt praise offering
Only you can show the wonders we behold
